From Family Nickname to Foodie Favorite: The Rise of Fat Katz Cuisine
Starting with a shared love for delicious food and an entrepreneurial spirit,
my good friend and I embarked on an exciting journey in 2010, founding Soul Chic Catering and Events. Our relentless dedication and hard work resulted in securing ten contracts, including 4 for large-scale events, establishing us as a leader in the boutique catering industry. But, just as our success was taking off, the COVID-19 pandemic hit, bringing the world to a halt and, unfortunately, leading to my layoff from my corporate job. Despite these challenges, I persevered and sought new opportunities to blend my passion for cooking with the need to make a living.

During this time, I received calls from concerned friends and colleagues,
one of whom reminded me of a suggestion from years past - opening a food truck. With newfound inspiration and motivation, I delved into researching the steps to start this new venture. However, just as I was getting started, tragedy struck again with the unexpected passing of my dear friend and business partner. Despite these challenges, I remain driven by my love for good food and a desire to honor my friend's memory as I navigate this new path to success.

Inspired by the encouragement of friends and family, I decided to explore
the possibility of starting a food truck. After several phone calls and discussions, the idea of a food truck business gained momentum. I shared my newfound interest with my life partner Michael, and we embarked on the journey of discovery and planning to bring this vision to life.

"Michael has been my rock and my biggest cheerleader, consistently
providing unwavering love and support throughout the journey of starting our food truck. His encouragement, belief in my vision, and tireless contributions have been instrumental in bringing my dream to life."
